Recreational Vehicle Parks

Recreational Vehicle Parks

The Environmental  Health Division of the Health District conducts regular seasonal inspections of the combined recreational vehicle park/camps in the County.  Inspectors check to see that waste water and sewage receptacles are properly maintained.  Bathhouses are inspected for adequate maintenance and sanitation and playground equipment is inspected for safety problems.  Individual camp sites are also inspected to identify and remedy potential health or safety threats.

Clermont County has 14 combined recreational vehicle park/camps.  Two of these combined park/camps are located at East Fork Sate Park and Stonelick State Park.  These two parks alone host approximately on and a half million people each year - nearly 760,000 people visit the parks as campers.

In addition to the Environmental Health Division's activities in park/camps, the Water and Waste Division performs weekly water sampling at the three public bathing beaches in the state parks and the Ohio River at New Richmond from May through September.

Inspections and licensing

Inspections of the park/camps must be performed a minimum of once per year but are usually inspected twice per year. Park/camps are required to license annually with the license fees being determined by the number of sites in the park.

For questions or concerns regarding the Recreational Vehicle Park/Camp Program, contact the Health District.
