COMMERCIAL PLUMBING PERMITS

Commercial Plumbing Submission Requirements

All Commercial permit applications must be applied for by a bonded plumbing contractor who is registered with the Clermont County General Health District.

To make application for a commercial plumbing permit the following items must be presented.

Please submit all materials and fees for review approval to Permit Central located at 2275 Bauer Road, Batavia, Ohio 45103.

1. Zoning

  • Contact the local zoning office in the township or village where the job is located.

2. Sewage

  • If the facility will have an on-site sewage treatment system, approval will be needed from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (OEPA) prior to any permits being issued.
  • If the facility will be on public sewer please contact the local sewer district to which it will be connected for approval.

3. Water

  • If water tap is to be purchased through Clermont County Water contact the Clermont County Building Department.
  • If water is to be supplied by another water purveyor, other than Clermont County Water, please contact the appropriate water purveyor.

5. Plumbing Permit

  • A plumbing permit application may be submitted after all reviews and fees due for Permit Central are approved.
  • An isometric or straight line drawing including a sealed, stamped, plan for review must be submitted for plan review process.
  • Food Service approval (where applicable) is required before permitting.

6. Restaurant /Food Service Licensing review

  • If the project is a restaurant or food service establishment a review of the facility, equipment schedule and a menu must be provided for review to the Health District prior to approval for a plumbing permit.

A CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY will be issued by the Building Department when all inspections have been approved. Insist on a occupancy permit at closing, the occupancy permit ensures that your home has met all building requirements from all offices.
