There are many existing lots of record within the county that can neither access public sewer nor accommodate on-site wastewater treatment. To enhance buyer awareness, the Health District offers a review of existing residential lots. This service is valuable to both buyers and sellers of real estate.
The purpose for this review is to ensure that the lot will accommodate adequate wastewater treatment. The benefits of this review are substantial. A favorable lot review ensures that the lot will accommodate construction of a new residence using an on-site wastewater treatment system. This allows owners and realtors to price lots based on the cost of an on-site system. Owners and realtors can apply for a review of an existing lot prior to its offering to avoid potential delays in the sale.
Application Requirements1. Completed Application for Existing Lot Review and application fee.
2. Tax parcel number and tax map. To obtain your parcel number please visit the Clermont County Auditor's Office.
3. Flagging at the property corners and a sign with the owner's name at the road.
A detailed site plan may be necessary to complete an evaluation if the reviewer is unable to determine the suitability of a lot based solely upon a site visit.
Other information may also be necessary in the course of the review.
