Assessment fee invoices are mailed to the property owner 1-3 business days after the inspection takes place. The property owner has 30 days to pay the amount in full.
If outstanding fees are not paid in full late fees will be applied to the account and the account will be placed for collection. If the collection agency is not successful in collecting the fees, the agency will report the outstanding amount to the credit bureau(s).
If the collection process is not successful in collecting outstanding fees, Clermont County Public Health will begin the process of placing a lien on the property. At this time an additional late fee for tax lien placement and delivery will be applied to the account. Should a second attempt to deliver the tax lien notice be required to serve notice of lien placement, an additional late fee for the second attempt will be applied to the account.
Payments will be accepted by Clermont County Public Health at any point in the collection process, however once the lien has been placed with the Clermont County Auditor, fees must be paid directly to the Auditor’s Office.
